The Early Bird Doesn’t Necessarily Get The Worm…
The Case Against Being Too Early to Your Bridal Appointment
We’ve all been taught the value of punctuality – showing up 15 minutes early (or more) to any important appointment often becomes second nature. And when it comes to your bridal appointment, it’s easy to get caught up in the excitement and anticipation. After all, this is one of the most important and thrilling moments of your wedding planning journey! But this is one of the few cases where the early bird does not, in fact, get the worm.
Environment is everything:
A bridal boutique can be a whirlwind of activity, especially during peak season. Picture veils flying, dresses being clipped and styled, lace and glitter everywhere. As fun and exciting as that is, it’s not necessarily what you want to walk into as a bride-to-be. The timing of our appointments is meticulously curated, so that after the previous bride finishes up, us bridal consultants have enough time to re-process the gowns and reset the space. Our goal is for you to step into an environment that is calm, organized, and ready for you to explore the full selection of gowns in the showroom without being caught in a whirlwind of appointment clean ups and dresses getting put away.
Privacy is everything:
Your bridal consultation is a personal experience, and our number one priority is to give you our undivided attention as you embark on your journey of finding the one. Additionally, trying on wedding gowns can be a more intimate process, meant to be shared only with your chosen guests and your consultant. We value the privacy and space of our brides-to-be throughout the full duration of your appointment so that you can focus on finding your dream gown without any external distractions or pressures. Showing up too early can disrupt the flow of the previous bride’s appointment, which could compromise both your experience and theirs. To ensure a smooth and successful appointment for both of you, abiding by the allotted time slots is crucial.
Timing is everything:
We want your bridal consultation to run smoothly and be a positive experience! At Kimberly James Bridal, our 1.5-hour long appointments are designed to give our brides lots of time for trying on gowns, getting input from guests and your bridal consultant, and then re-trying and styling the top three favorite dresses at the end. Any bride who needs a re-try appointment is more than welcome to schedule one and come back in to review their favorite dresses! But sometimes going over 1.5-2 hours in an appointment can lead to fatigue and indecision. Finding your dream gown should be fun and stress free! Our time slots are designed to give you ample time to do so without overwhelming you with wedding gown after wedding gown.
Communication is key! In the same way that you would call to alert us if you are stuck in traffic or just running a bit late for your appointment, we encourage you to reach out if you would like to arrive more than five minutes early. If our schedule allows us to accommodate you, we will let you know. Your bridal appointment is a special moment, and we’re here to ensure it’s as seamless and enjoyable as possible.
Happy dress shopping!
